Evan Lake is really just a wide spot in the Rouge River. It is located south of Lone Pine and west of Middlebelt. You can only really see the lake from Champlain St. It is a private, non all sports lake. It is more of a pond than a lake.
It has about 3 or 4 house around it that I could see. There is natural vegetation around the lake like cattails and tall grasses which makes Evans Lake in W Bloomfield more a viewing lake than anything else. The children that live on the lake go to Bloomfield Hills schools. They roads are paved around the lake.
The homes on the lake were built between 1984 and 1988. They have 2 & 3 car garages, 3 to 5 bathrooms, 4 to 6 bedrooms. The lake homes range from 3300 to 4300 square feet in size. Home styles are either contemporary or colonials. The homes are on sewer and municipal water. For some reason some people also mistakenly call this Simpson Lake because Simpson Lake is just south of it.
One winter when our real estate market was slower I poured through the old MLS listings to gather the waterfront home data. There may have been some homes that have been torn down that is included in this data. Other homes may have been built and others lake homes that have not sold in the last 20 years so I was not able to be 100% accurate because of this missing information. This is just to give you a insight into what the lake houses are like.

All of these lakes have homes and condos on them that lie in great school districts in most cases. The main two good school districts in Bloomfield and West Bloomfield is Birmingham schools and Bloomfield Hills schools. If by chance they fall into Pontiac school district there are plenty of good private schools in the area. Cranbrook, Orchard Lake St Marys, and Country Day are just three of them.
