Heathers Lake Bloomfield – Lake Condos Heathers Lake Bloomfield Michigan

There are many different condominiums on Heathers Lake in Bloomfield Township.  If you did not know there are two similar named lakes in the township.  One is Heather Lake and this one is called Heathers Lake.  They are not to far from each other either.  Heathers Lake.  It is located east of Opdyke Road and north of Square Lake Road.  It's just a small private scenic lake nestled in between the condos.  There are several fountains in the lake and a gazebo on the lake.  It is just a small lake that is more like a pond.  I think it isn't used for kayaking or swimming.  It's all about the view.

Who wouldn't want a view like this outside their window?

The roads around the lake are all paved.  The condominiums are on city water and sewer.  The school district for the condo complex is Bloomfield Hills.  You are not too far from I-75 so the commute to Troy or Downtown Detroit is easy.  The shopping area at Telegraph and Square Lake Road is not too far either.

"Making your next move easier"

These first three lakes are just little lakes though Hidden Lake is the biggest of the three.  They are all non all sports lakes.

When looking for a Lake house on Union Lake in W Bloomfield you may hear it called a party lake.  I think that is the wrong label to put on it because it deters some buyers from purchasing a home on the lake.  You have to remember that you do not have to go out to the sandbar to hang out.  You can live on the lake and never participate in the sandbar activities.  You will still have peace and quiet at your lake home.  That is what is great about a Home on Forest Lake in Bloomfield Michigan.  It is part of a chain of lakes yet you are on the quietest part of the chain.  The furthest one away from all sports Upper Long Lake.  So you do not have jet skis or people ripping around on speed boat on Forest Lake.

  • Why do you want to buy a lake home?   So many clients remark later that they wish they had done it sooner.  It is a path to  building stronger family relation ships and nurturing friendships. They always say “you never know how many friends you have until you have a lake house.”  I always say you become more social when you buy a lake home.
  • Drive Time.  In Oakland County many of the homes have longer drive times because of the way the roads curve around the lakes.  Many of them are just two lane roads that become congested at rush hour.  Are you going to use the home as a weekend getaway or year round home?  Will you rent it?  Could you run out to the lake after work? This may help you map your area where you would consider purchasing.
  • Maintenance. Lake living is all about being on the lake.  Not working on the house, or taking care of the yard on the weekends.  That is for subdivision dwellers.   Look into lawn maintenance and cleaning services. Having things done at the lake will free up your time to have more time on the lake.  Have the dock put in or taken out.  Have the boat winterized.  If you can afford it have it done so you can spend more time with family and friends.
