What are the biggest and best all sports lakes in West Bloomfield Township?  Many active water sports people want lakes that are over 200 acres to ski, wake board, or surf on.  Here are the 7 biggest all sports lakes:  Cass Lake, Middle Straits Lakes, Pine Lake, Union Lake, Upper Long Lake, Upper Straits Lake, Walnut Lake.  I am going to give you more information on each lake in alphabetical order.

Cass Lake

Cass Lake in West Bloomfield is Oakland County's largest lake and all sports lake at 1280 acres.  There is plenty of room to jet ski.  It is a public all sports lake that has the deepest spot of 123 acres.  It has a DNR access at Dodge Park.

Middle Straits Lake

Middle Straits Lake is located just north of Richardson Rd and east of Union Lake Road.  It is not too far from M-5 making your work commute easier.  I would say the lake is a long lake with some of the homes sitting up on a gentle hill.  There are many different styles and sizes of homes on the lake to chose from.

Pine Lake

Pine Lake in W Bloomfield is Oakland County's 12th largest lake.  You can see the lake from Orchard Lake Road.   It is a private lake.  You will have luxury estate homes and even some condos to chose from when looking a Pine Lake properties.

Union Lake

If you drive Union Lake Road you will pass the lake on the east side of the road.  This is one of Oakland County's premier lakes.  It has become a very desirable lake for many lake home buyers.  There are many beautiful custom built luxury homes on the lake.  It is the 8th largest lake in the county.  There is also a very nice restaurant on the lake called "Matter of Taste".  Here is the basic information of the lake 

All sports Upper Long Lake in W Bloomfield is West Bloomfield's smallest all sports lake of these 7.  But it ranks up there for having a lot of upper end luxury homes on the lake.  The lake lies in both Bloomfield Township and West Bloomfield.  It is a private lake, but you are on a chain of lakes.  It connects to Lower Long Lake and Forest Lake in Bloomfield.  

Upper Straits Lake

Upper Straits Lake has morphed into a high end lake over the years.  It is home to CEO's, doctors, and a rock musician.  The lake lies in both Orchard Lake and in West Bloomfield.  It is a private lake though there are some subdivisions that have docking privileges on the lake.  

All sports Walnut Lake in West Bloomfield is Oakland County's 23rd largest lake.  What it lacks in size it makes up in spacious lake estates.  It is a private lake with lake hours.  You cannot speed or create a wake between the hours of 6:30 pm and 10 am.  Nor can you tow anybody behind the boat between those hours.
