Echo Lake in Bloomfield Township is just a small lake that is next to Hidden Lake near the township offices. The lake is located West of Telegraph and South of W Long Lake Road. It is a private lake that is really just a pond. So you are not going to be putting a big motor boat or pontoon on Echo Lake. There are only 14 houses on the lake.
The lake lies entirely in Bloomfield Twp. The waterfront homes are on sewer and municipal water. The roads around the lake are paved. The children that live on the lake go to Bloomfield Hills Schools. I have no pictures of the lake at this time.
If you are buying a lake house in Oakland County you should know what negatively affects the price. Of course the normal stuff like high tension wires, house on a main road, or close to a business. But when buying a lake home parking sometimes comes into play, but the two main issues are type of lake bottom and is there vegetation in the lake. Sandy bottom homes sell quicker and fetch more money as do lake homes that do not have lily pads or lake grasses in the in front of the house. However there is no way to put a specific dollar amount on these items. It just slows the sale and homes that are sandy bottom sometimes get a little more money.
The basic characteristics of the lake homes on Echo Lake in Bloomfield are:
* 5 to 6 bedrooms
* 3 to 7 bathrooms
* 3 to 4 car garages
* Built during the years of 1986 to 1994
* The square footage of the homes range from 4700 square feet to over 7888 square feet in size
* All the homes have basements.
All of the information above was gathered from sold listings on the MLS over the last 20 years. Some homes on the lake may not have been sold during this period so this home information may be off because one of the homes that has not sold may be bigger, small, older, or have different features. Some of the smaller lakefront homes may have been torn down and do not exist anymore. Also a new house may have been built on the lake that does not show up. This house information is just to give you a general idea of the houses on the lake.
If you are looking for a nice quiet little lake in Bloomfield then Echo Lake homes may be ideal for you and your family. It is so close to Telegraph so the commute to work will be easier. Give me a call to start your lake home search (248) 310-6239 or email me at yesmyrealtor@gmail.com

Find your dream Lake home on Cross Lake in West Bloomfield. There is a small cluster of lakes that are fed by a small stream and springs in the lakes. Cross Lake, Marion Lake, and Mercedes Lake are just three of them. They are all small lakes and some could even be considered ponds.
Sodon Lake in Bloomfield MI sits down in a bowl. The homes around the lake are higher and have great views of the lake. They are not so high that it is a problem to get down to the lake. I always believe when a home sits above the lake it usually has stunning views. Sodon Lake is one of those lakes. I have friends that live in the subdivision that Darb Lake is in. There are very few homes on Darb Lake in West Bloomfield. I would call the lake a subdivision access lake as there is park and beach for the residents to use. Darb Lake isn't very big either. Learn more about the lake by going to the web page.
Now Upper Straits Lake in West Bloomfield MI is a good size all sports lake that lies in both Orchard Lake Village and in West Bloomfield. There are a few subdivisions around the lake that have access to the lake and some deeded docks. Many times there is a limited number of docks and the subdivision residents have to put their name on a list and wait until somebody gives up their dock. That way the lake does not get too crowded. Homes on Flanders Lake in West Bloomfield. have spacious lots. There are not a lot of homes on the lake. I like Flanders Lake because it is almost a woodsy setting. It has mature trees and flat access to the lake.
