Staging is a method of decorating your home to showcase its best assets, impress buyers, and sell it quickly for the highest possible price.
Although staging is optional, you will be at an advantage if you do so. Selling a home is a significant financial transaction and staging your property can make it more appealing to prospective buyers.
Buyers aren’t just simply looking for West Bloomfield Lake estates for sale. They’re looking to fulfill their dreams and improve their lifestyles.
Home buying can be emotional and staging a home can help the buyer feel that connection.
Here are some staging ideas that can make your home more marketable:
Clean, clean, clean
Cleanliness matters a lot when selling. No one will be delighted to tour a cluttered and dirty house. Buyers will naturally assume that a dirty house hasn’t been well maintained.
You might consider hiring a professional cleaning service to get a thorough cleaning job. These professionals have experience with the kind of cleaning you need. They should also use high-quality products and equipment to get the best clean.
Pump up the curb appeal
Your home’s exterior will be the first thing that buyers will see. You will never get a second chance to make a first impression so it’s important that your home looks its best even before buyers walk through the front door.
Boosting your home’s curb appeal includes maintenance like power-washing the front steps, touching up chipped paint, edging the sidewalk, painting the front door, brightening windows, adding a seasonal wreath or putting matching potted trees on either side of the door.
Define Rooms
Every single room and space in your home should have a defined purpose. The goal is to help the buyers see how to maximize your home’s square footage.
If you have a finished attic, you can turn it into a home office or a library. A finished basement can be used as an entertainment room or a man cave. A junk room can be transformed into a guest bedroom or a home gym.
Reconsider color
Paint is one of the least expensive changes you can make to sell your West Bloomfield Lake Estate faster. A fresh coat of paint color can go a long way and 94% of real estate agents recommend investing in it when sellers ask how to stage a house.
You have to keep in mind that people’s tastes in colors are very specific and highly personal. It’s better to paint your home with warm, neutral colors that project the homey image you are trying to create.
Replace your bathroom towels
Give your bathroom a nice, thorough cleaning and remove all of your cleaning products. You can also create a spa-like feel by swapping out old, mismatched towels for fresh new white bath towels. You can also roll your towels and place them in a woven basket to add a touch of elegance.
Staging your home the right way will maximize your profit potential.
